The role of digital tools in fighting youth unemployment in the Western Balkans: presenting the DRUPWB platform
Pannonia Consulting is proud to take part in projects that bring about lasting change, and the project Digital Response to Unemployment Problems in the Western Balkans (DRUPWB) stands out among the most important of them. The digital platform developed within the project is an innovative way of connecting education and employment in a region facing high rates of youth unemployment.
The DRUPWB platform is designed as a digital tool that supports the key actors in vocational education and training (VET), letting young people, educators and employers create significant social and economic impact together. Whether you are an educator looking to improve your teaching methods or someone seeking new skills for the labour market, the platform offers a range of resources adapted to your needs.
What does the platform offer?
- Adaptable online courses:
The platform provides free and flexible courses designed to suit different learning styles and professional goals. Particular focus goes to contemporary subjects such as virtual assistance and no-code programming, which follow the changing needs of the labour market. - STEM-oriented vocational education:
DRUPWB gives access to innovative curricula built on a STEM approach. The aim is to prepare young people for the occupations of the future, which call for technical and analytical expertise. - Tools for educators and employers:
The platform offers practical resources that help educators develop training programmes oriented towards the labour market, while giving employers guidance on bringing young talent into their business processes effectively. - Information and communication:
Users can follow the latest news, successful examples from practice and expert opinion from the fields of education, technology and employment.
Why does the DRUPWB project matter?
The Western Balkans faces long-standing challenges of youth unemployment, with deep consequences for the region’s economic and social development. The DRUPWB platform answers these challenges by integrating education and the labour market, providing practical solutions such as work-based learning (WBL) and employment programmes.
This project is not only an educational platform but a tool for economic empowerment and for promoting social inclusion, with the long-term aim of sustainable development in the region.
Our role in the project
Pannonia Consulting has an important role in delivering DRUPWB successfully. As an experienced organisation, Pannonia is a key actor in developing the non-formal vocational education curriculum in the field of employment, built on a STEM approach. The curriculum comprises four modules that answer contemporary labour market needs:
- Virtual assistant,
- Programming,
- Self-employment,
- Starting and running a small business.
These modules are designed to give young people and educators the tools to acquire skills that make them competitive on the labour market, and to support self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Pannonia also takes part in developing the digital educational tools and the platform itself, which makes the curricula and resources easy to reach. It is actively involved in disseminating the project, making sure that information about the platform reaches key stakeholders, including young people, educators and employers across the region and beyond. It supports the delivery of the other project activities, drawing on its expertise in project management, curriculum development and non-formal education.
The DRUPWB platform is an opportunity to build a better future. Whether you are looking for practical courses, tools for professional development or insight into current trends, this platform can become a key resource for you.
