The two-year REVIVER project comes to an end: looking back at a shared journey between Europe and sub-Saharan Africa

After two years of intensive work, international cooperation and exchange of knowledge, the project REVIVER – Regenerative Agriculture for Vocational Education EU + Africa has come to a successful close. The video below is a short chronicle of the most important moments of our shared journey, one that brought partners from Europe and sub-Saharan Africa together in a mission to build capacity for sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

From the very beginning REVIVER was conceived as a bridge between continents, a project joining specialists, practitioners, young educators and institutions to answer the growing global challenge of climate change and soil degradation. Over the past two years many activities have improved vocational education, produced new curricula and strengthened local capacity in Tanzania, Kenya and Ghana, with the support of partners from Croatia, Estonia and Germany.

The project delivered international training courses, workshops with farmers, study visits, educational material, and the active involvement of communities that live with the consequences of climate change every day. All of it is a reminder of how much it matters to invest in knowledge, cooperation and innovation so that a new generation of specialists can build more resilient farming systems.

REVIVER has left a lasting mark, not only through results such as curricula, training material and new cooperation networks, but through real changes in the approach to regenerative agriculture that partners have carried on in the field. We are proud that the project built strong ties between organisations, established new platforms for sharing practice, and set in motion processes that will benefit local communities for a long time.

Our thanks to all the partners, specialists, educators and communities who took part. This recap video reminds us that behind every goal there are people: their commitment, their knowledge and their readiness to work together. REVIVER is ending, but its results live on through the work of the many organisations and professionals who continue to shape a more sustainable and resilient future.
