Pannonia at the DRUPWB study visit in Vilnius: a week of inspiration, innovation and networking

From 16 to 25 March 2025, five representatives of Pannonia took part in an international study visit under the DRUPWB project, held at VILNIUS TECH’s creative and innovation space “LinkMenų fabrikas” in Vilnius, Lithuania. The ten-day programme brought together participants from several countries with the aim of building capacity in innovation, sustainability and vocational education and training for young people.

The programme opened with a formal ceremony and a presentation of the agenda, and our participants joined straight away in a varied set of activities covering everything from sustainable development and the circular economy to digital solutions and creative thinking.

During the visit, participants toured notable institutions such as the VILNIUS TECH Sustainability Centre, the Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park and the Manufacturing Innovation Valley. These visits gave us insight into advanced technologies, entrepreneurial practice and the support systems available to innovative projects in Lithuania.

We were particularly inspired by the workshops on engaging young people in vocational education and training systems. Through interactive methods and group work, participants analysed the challenges young people face when entering the labour market and devised concrete solutions for integrating them better into education. The creative workshops that encouraged thinking outside the box were just as interesting, as were the cultural activities through which we came to know the history and beauty of Vilnius.

Certificates were presented to participants at the closing ceremony, and our representatives returned home with new knowledge, inspiration and valuable contacts for further international cooperation.

Taking part in this study visit further strengthened Pannonia’s capacity in vocational education for young people, sustainable development and international cooperation. We thank the organisers for an excellently run programme and look forward to future activities within the DRUPWB project.
