Pannonia Consulting has begun delivering the international GreenGuard project against greenwashing

Pannonia Consulting has begun delivering the international project GreenGuard: Mobilizing Digital Solutions for Genuine Environmental Progress, funded through the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme. The project, which will run for 24 months, is directed at countering greenwashing and at raising awareness among young people of the importance of genuine environmental protection.

Our role in the project is a key one: we will develop digital tools and a learning platform to help young people and their mentors recognise false sustainability claims and take an active part in protecting the environment. We will create a tailored e-learning training programme and educational material that give users easy access to the knowledge they need to tell genuine environmental initiatives from greenwashing.

Through GreenGuard we will research greenwashing practices in the partner countries, draw up guidelines for preventing it and organise a series of educational workshops and campaigns for young people. Our aim is to equip young people to become informed consumers and active advocates of sustainable practice in their communities.

Working with partners from Portugal, Germany and Italy will let us build an international network of young activists and organisations countering greenwashing, and the project results will include guidelines, a mobile application and a rich base of educational materials.

We are delivering the project together with our partners, with Contextos from Portugal as lead coordinator, while we are responsible for developing the digital solutions and learning tools. Our aim is to equip young people to become agents of change and champions of genuine sustainability, and to give them the tools to recognise and prevent misleading marketing practices that undermine real environmental initiatives.

This project is an important step forward in educating young people about environmental issues, and our contribution through developing digital tools will let them take an active part in protecting the environment.

We look forward to the challenges ahead and believe that through GreenGuard we will contribute to a more sustainable and more aware community, locally and internationally.
